Life without Benny

On the way back from the kindergarten, Molly suggested: “Let’s talk about what our life would be like without Benny, mama!”
“OK,” I said, wondering what she’ll come up with.
“We’d have more money,” was the first thing in her list.
“What do you mean?”
“You wouldn’t have to pay for his kindergarten and his toys.” Weird, but OK.
“What else?”
“I’d be happier because he wouldn’t annoy me at night. And also during the day.” Pretty harsh.
“Is there anything you’d miss if he wasn’t around?”
“No.”
“Nothing at all?”
“Maybe… his useless drawings.”

Benny was listening to the whole conversation and he wasn’t bothered at all by his sister imagining how great her life would be without him.
As he took a bite of his ice-cream cone, he had only one thing to say: “You’d miss my AWSOME drawings!”

His drawings are pretty awesome, I agree. I’d also miss them a lot.
